June Events for Linking Leith's Parks!
Come along and have your say on plans for parks in Leith! These events are part of the Edinburgh Nature Network.
Linking Leith's Parks
We have two more events in June coming up as part of our project Linking Leith's Parks! Click here to read the history of the project.
We have received funding from greenspace scotland to create plans and designs for nature conservation in parks, and this project will focus on parks within Leith. Once the plans have been developed, we will look for further funding to deliver these plans.
For this, we will be working with Atkins, Landscape Architects, to create an overall plan for the area - to look at actions to connect greenspaces in Leith for the benefit of people and wildlife.
We will also be specifically drawing up plans for 6 parks:
- Tolbooth Wynd
- Mill Lane Park
- Taylor Gardens
- Keddie Gardens
- North Junction Street Park
- Dalmeny Street Park
Thank you to everyone who came along to our events in May to see the initial designs and tell us your thoughts.
Come along in June and have your say on the final designs for these parks before the end of the project in July!
Here are the dates for the June workshops:
In-person workshop: Thursday 15th June, 6pm-7.30pm, Duncan Place Community Hub
Online workshop: Tuesday 20th June, 6pm-7.30pm - this will be on Microsoft Teams (link sent to attendees nearer the time)
Come along to our upcoming events to have your say in the plans for these parks!
