TCV Green Skills: Transforming the John Muir Way

The City of Edinburgh Council have match-funded an exciting new project with TCV and other partners to recruit 24 apprentices over 3 years to improve biodiversity and learn Green Skills!
The TCV Green Skills Traineeship is a 10 month paid role where we are looking to recruit & upskill dedicated trainees aged 16-25 with barriers to employment. Participants will gain practical and employable skills through working to improve the nature and connectivity of greenspaces, and the access for local communities. The role aims to build confidence, health and wellbeing in trainees as well as being an effective pathway to Green Jobs.
TCV are now recruiting 24 Trainees across the Central belt of Scotland in Falkirk Council, City of Edinburgh Council, East Dunbartonshire Council and Scottish Canals, we aim to enhance biodiversity through the creation of green corridors within these local authorities. These posts will be Monday – Wednesday pro-rata and will be paid living wage. This will address green skills gaps and create quality green spaces in areas of deprivation.
