Grow Your Own Fund is coming
Exciting news! The Grow Your Own grant scheme is set to launch soon, offering funding of up to £5,000 for your food growing projects.
This is your chance to gain support for your food growing projects, create vibrant accessible growing sites, and so much more.
The Grow Your Own grant scheme is an initiative designed to boost community food growing projects across Edinburgh. It offers grants of up to £5,000 to constituted voluntary and community groups across Edinburgh.
The fund will open for applications on 31 March 2025 and close at 12 noon on 12 May 2025. You can find more information and detailed instructions on the application process page on Your Voice platform.
Who Can Apply?
The fund is open to new or small-scale constituted Edinburgh-based local groups. This includes community groups, organisations, ‘Friends of’ groups, clubs, etc. Informal groups can also apply by partnering with a parent organisation, such as a Community Council.
The fund supports projects aimed at the creation and development of community food growing in Edinburgh. This includes costs such as:
- Seeds, plants, and tools
- Equipment for community garden cooking areas
- Education and training
- Personal protective equipment
- Staff time related to the establishment of the growing area
- Construction related to accessibility for the growing space
